First opened all the way back in 1907, the Moore Theatre is presently the oldest operating theater venue in the city of Seattle. There is a lot of history in this lavish theatre; this was the original home of the Seattle Symphony, as well as the Seattle International Film Festival. In its many years of operation, patrons have enjoyed films, art exhibitions, rallies, concerts, vaudevilles, and even boxing matches in these walls.

Today, the Moore Theatre serves as the hub for the Seattle Theatre Group’s education and artistic development programs for young artists. It also remains a place where you can partake of a rich variety of performances, including musicals, dance recitals, musical concerts, comedians, lectures, and more. Show up on the second Saturday of the month to join in on the free theatre tour.

You can find the Moore Theatre near Pike Place Market, down south from our hotel in North Seattle. Visit 17 to learn more about the theatre, view a calendar of its upcoming shows, or purchase tickets online.
